hi, want to start and keep this forum rolling. I'm an owner of a pcp air gun .177 local made. my ag likes the local Hystan pellet. I've tried and use gamo rocket and crossman premier hollow point that was given to me but my ag just sprayed the pellet all around the target paper. sometimes the imported pellet would hit the bull but next 3 shot would be prayed all around. no pattern at all. I'm using a locally made hand pump for charging the air tube. would appreciate hearing your experiences on your ag.

Hi airpower,
Stay away from gamos. cp's are fine but if not grouping well, maybe they're too light(7.9 gr) compared to hystans 10-11 gr( not very sure though) causing poor groupings. What brand is your ag? I have a Filarms Caiman 22 cal folding stock. It likes cp hollows and JSB Exacts. Keep on trying other pellets and stick to whatever is giving you tighter groups. Cheers:)

Filarms CB 20" brass barrel. it likes hystan and would make one hole 5-shot group at 20 yards bench rested. i tested it at a 50 yard shooting range and could hit ram 4x in 5 try. but those imported pellet, i don't know what is happening. am trying everything to make my ag like cp hollow point and gamo rocket but to no avail. maybe i would stick on what my barrel likes, hystan .177 quick silver.

hi airpower,
based on experience you cannot make your AG like a specific pellet of your choice, not one AG from the same manufacturer will provide the same result with the same pellet brand. You will have to experiment on which pellet your AG likes.
try out which one (pellet brand) groups best with your AG. That should be the among first tests you will need to do once you have a brand new ag. So far for locally made pellets the best ones we can find are Hystans.
Hope you find what's best for your AG!
Cheers!

thanks snyper for the info and advice. i'll stick to Hystan for my pellet of choice on my ag. i'm just tinkering my ag on liking the free pellet given to me as a gift last xmas. sayang naman kung nasa tabi lang siya. happy shooting on your new shooting range.

Hi everyone, I'm new in the forum. Hope to learn more about airguns in this forum. And also share some inputs about some topics later. For a start, I have used some airguns for the past years like Armscor, Philcolt, Rogunz, Parco, etc and some locally made projects (I mean custom made). Have used brass and steel barrels. Like most of my local airguns, I like using the Silver Streak or the Quick Silver. Just sharing.
